A sunset meet at Gorleston-on-Sea nabs some pleasing if not epic shots.

Sunrise and Sunset Heather in One Day!

An evening trip to Hunstanton results in capturing an epic scene.

Another trip to Happisburgh grabs a great set of images and one particular fantastic image.

Making the effort to travel to the coast on an overcast summer evening pays off with a cracker of a shot.

A fabulous day out with over 6,000 images meant that some decent captures of the aircraft were in the bag.

A return visit to Roydon Common at sunset and an enjoyable evening even though the sunset wasn’t anything special.

Two further visits to Happisburgh deliver some keepers.

A meet up with friends takes us to Plantation Garden in Norwich which is a wonderful peaceful place, with plenty of photo opportunities.

One year on from the last visit, I return to Stiffkey Saltmarshes with the weather much different to last year but good images bagged nonetheless.

A summer late afternoon visit to Cromer bags some decent images.

A very enjoyable summer evening photographing Happisburgh Lighthouse with epic clouds and lovely golden hour light at sunset.

The first non-UK holiday since pre-Covid takes us to Lisbon Portugal for four days with plenty of ‘keeper’ shots in the bag.

An awesome evening sunset shoot at the coast at Happisburgh captures some awesome seascape shots.

A return to Herringfleet Mill in Suffolk for sunset delivers a different composition.

A visit to Thornham in North Norfolk at sunset is let down by a plain cloudless sky but sunset colours arrive in a 25 minutes spell which delivers some keepers.

A wander around Kensington Gardens and the Seafront in Lowestoft to help a young photographer make a start with his new camera.

Another sunset, and another cloudless plain sky but the colours of sunset did arrive along with a little cloud to bring some great shots.

The last location on our Yorkshire trip was Flamborough Head but there was a surprise photo opportunity involving a specific bird.

A walk around Scarborough in foggy conditions captures some pleasing images.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire provides a fantastic opportunity to capture gannets in flight, and if you’re lucky, razorbills, gulls and puffins too.

A visit to Bolton Abbey which has a lot more to offer than just the Abbey.

We walk up to Malham Cove then along the top and down to the waterfall at Janet’s Foss.

We get to spend several hours watching and photographing red squirrels.

A quick stop at the Arthington Viaduct near Ilkley delivers a couple of keepers.

A quick visit to the waterfalls at Cotter Force and a drive by the locations of All Creatures Great and Small.

A return to the Norber Erratics where 12,000 years old glacial boulders are scattered around the terrain.

A late in the day stop in Ribblesdale for lone tree and limestone photography - a popular choice when in the Yorkshire Dales.

The final round of the club’s Photographer of the Year (POTY) competition delivers my best scores this season.

But where did I finish in my league? And did I surpass last years cumulative score?

Two recent trips (one at sunset and one at sunrise) to the amazing Caister-on-Sea delivers keepers!

A very late afternoon visit to Lowestoft that yields a handful of decent images.

Good scores in this round but lacking the wow factor!

The Aurora makes an appearance in Norfolk which leads to a dash to the coast to get some Astro shots.

Two trips out to capture snowdrops delivers some nice images.

One of my images is published and selected as Picture of the Week in Amateur Photographer Magazine, 28th February 2023.

Round 3 of the club’s Photographer of the Year (POTY) competition was a good one with my images scoring 16.5/20 in total but slightly behind where I was last season at this point.

Sunrise shoot at Cromer followed by photographing the launch of Cromer lifeboat.

An enjoyable sunrise outing to Caister-on -Sea, Norfolk.

A fabulous day out with photography club members with visits to Thorpe Bay Southend-On-Sea, Shoeburyness beach and Lion Creek.

My photography goals for the year ahead include learning more to improve my skills, upgrading my gear, visiting more new places, and doing more wildlife and street photography.
